McKenzie Friend & Family Mediator
Jon Close
Jonathan is a retired police officer. He draws on broad life experiences as much as his personal skills honed from his 35 years of police service in his family mediation practice and helping individuals as a McKenzie Friend.
​
He retired from the force as a Chief Inspector, having been involved in court work and frontline policing, particularly in dealing with time-critical situations. In addition to his practical experience, Jonathan has also pursued academic excellence, earning a Masters Degree in Fraud Risk Management.
​
Since leaving the Police in 2023, he has been engaged in helping individuals through the McKenzie Friend scheme. He has also qualified as a Family Mediator and hopes to use his life skills to positively help people.

Amy Dixon
Amy is a highly experienced McKenzie Friend, having assisted clients in the local court to the Royal Courts of Justice including appeal.

Amy has a background in business & property so can assist with highly complex financial matters including trusts, business and property portfolios.

Amy has experience in high complex child arrangement matters, including international elements and can be relied upon to be robust in her assistance at any level of court.
​
Amy can assist on an ad hoc or a full basis, alongside legal representation or full litigants in person.

McKenzie Friends cannot give legal advice but we can assist with responding to letters, drafting statements, preparing you to speak in court, creating a strategy, completing or producing questions on form E, completing court forms and applications, understanding of the acts overriding decisions, likelihood of decisions, helping with bundles, papers and so on!
